Privacy Policy – Scanly Camera Scanner

1. Who We Are

Scanly Camera Scanner (“Scanly”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a mobile application published by Daily Tools Studio.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your choices when you use our Android application.

3. Your Scanned Documents (Local-Only Processing)

All pages you scan are processed entirely on your device.

We never copy, upload, or analyse the visual content of your documents unless you explicitly share a file via the Android share sheet.

Typical content may include invoices, homework, or government IDs (passport, national ID card). We do not provide ID-verification (KYC) services.

5. Sensitive Document Disclaimer

Scans can contain personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, face photo or ID number. All image processing—edge detection, OCR, PDF creation—occurs 100% on-device. No servers, no cloud upload by default.

*Advertising ID is shared only with Google AdMob/Ads for ad delivery and measurement.

7. Analytics (Firebase)

Events are pseudonymised (no names, no document text).

Retention: 14 months then automatic deletion by Google.

You may request deletion of all analytics linked to your Firebase Installation ID (see §9).

8. Advertising & Consent

We use Google AdMob to fund free features. In regions under GDPR/UK GDPR or LGPD, a first-launch dialog lets you choose:

• Personalised ads (uses Advertising ID)
• Non-personalised ads (context-only)

Ads are muted by default; interstitial frequency is capped to comply with Google Play’s ad-density rules.

Watching an optional rewarded ad unlocks premium actions (e.g., high-resolution export) for a limited time.

9. Legal Basis & Your Rights

10. Children’s Privacy

Scanly Camera Scanner is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn a child has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.

11. Security

• HTTPS/TLS for every network request (analytics & ads).
• Google Play App Signing, ProGuard & integrity API to prevent tampering.
• Continuous security reviews of third-party SDKs.
